FC Dallas vs Portland Timbers: How to watch locally and online

After a pretty rough regular season that saw lots of ups and downs for FC Dallas, today is a new day as the MLS Cup Playoffs begin. Either this will be the club’s last game of 2020, or it will be the first of a run that could lead to the ultimate prize.

Up first for FC Dallas is the Portland Timbers, a team that won the MLS is Back tournament earlier this year. This is a team that certainly knows a thing or two about making a run in these playoffs.

FC Dallas notes:

FC Dallas against Portland in the playoffs – This is the third time the Timbers and FC Dallas have met in the postseason. In the last matchup, Diego Valeri struck for a brace for the 10-man Timbers in a 2-1 win in the Western Conference Knockout Round en route to an MLS Cup appearance in 2018.

All-Time against Portland – Dallas has struggled in Portland to get results. In ten games, Dallas has gone 1-6-3, with ten goals to Portland’s 16.

Key player for FC Dallas – Michael Barrios You could pick out any number of players and be right here but let’s zero in on Barrios, a guy that has had some bright moments this year and plenty of low ones. If he can come up with some magic moments on the wings in this one, that will give Dallas a fighting chance against a Timbers defense that can leak goals at times.
